Bio
I'm Gregory O'Connor, an MIT-trained Ph.D., product builder, strategist, and co-founder of Socure. I live and work in New York, and I run Vociferous AI, where I build AI and web applications and advise ventures across product, market, brand, and financial strategy.
Most of the work starts before there is a product: a founder or team has a real opportunity, partial information, and pressure to decide. I help determine whether the opportunity should become software, build a testable first version, and stay with it through evaluation, launch, and handoff. Because I also handle the market, brand, and financial analysis, technical choices stay connected to the business they have to serve.
Education
Ph.D., Department of Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in the MIT Biotechnology Center, with a minor in Artificial Intelligence. B.S., Vanderbilt University, with a triple major in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
That training is the reason I work the way I do: state the claim, name the evidence it rests on, and be explicit about what remains uncertain. The standard carries directly into the current venture work, where a plausible answer is worth less than an accountable one.

Research
I do research on evaluation integrity: whether the benchmarks and answer keys that AI systems are graded against actually measure what they claim. Two audits — one of a legal-reasoning benchmark, one of a medication-safety benchmark — are under peer review. The method, and the engagements built on it, are described on the Research page.
Acting
I'm also a working actor with IMDb credits. That grounding in performance and film is why SceneFiend and Dreamlet come from inside the craft — how actors choose and prepare material, and which stories film chooses to center — rather than from generic entertainment AI.
What stays private
For stealth and client work, public descriptions stay at the level needed to establish capability. Private methodology, client information, and internal analysis remain private. I don't do political microtargeting, covert persuasion, or surveillance work.
